*Pelican State CU membership is required to open a Kasasa Cash rewards checking account. If you are not a Pelican member, you must be eligible to open a primary savings account with Pelican to become one. The deposit to open a primary savings account starts at a minimum of $10 ($5 to join + $5 minimum balance). A minimum deposit of $25 is required to open Kasasa Cash account. APY = Annual Percentage Yield. APYs accurate as of 4/1/2020. Rates and rewards may change after account is opened. This account is a tiered rate account. For Kasasa Cash, if qualifications are met each monthly qualification period: (1) ATM fees (up to $4.99 per single transaction) incurred during qualification period will be reimbursed and credited to account by the second business day following the end of the last day of the statement cycle; (2) balances up to $7,500 (tier 1) receive APY up to 4.25%; and (3) balances over $7,500 (tier 2) earn 0.50% dividends on the portion of the balance over $7,500, resulting in range of 0.76% - 4.25% APY depending on the balance maintained, assuming a maximum $100,000 in tier 2. Transactions may take 1 or more banking days from the date transaction was made to post to and settle account. The qualification period is defined as a period beginning on the last day of the prior calendar month and ending on the next-to-last day of the calendar month. ATM receipt must be presented for reimbursement of ATM fees of $5.00 or higher within 30 days after the statement cycle where the reimbursement was applicable in order to receive a refund. The advertised Kasasa Cash APY is based on compounding dividends. If member has a Kasasa Saver account, dividends earned on Kasasa Cash balances are automatically transferred to Kasasa Saver each statement cycle and do not compound. Actual dividends paid may be less than advertised Kasasa Cash APY. The Kasasa Saver APYs may be less than Kasasa Cash APYs. Not everyone will qualify to open a Kasasa Cash rewards checking account. *Horizon Checking Account: Pelican State CU membership is required to open a Horizon checking account. If you are not a Pelican State CU member, you must be eligible to open a primary savings account with Pelican State CU to become a member. The deposit to open a primary savings account and become a member starts at a minimum of $10 ($5 to join + $5 minimum balance). Horizon minimum opening deposit is $25 with a $10 monthly fee. After 6 month period of acceptable account management, you can contact Pelican to request to move to a free checking account. To request to move to a free checking account, you must keep your Horizon checking account active and managed acceptably for 6 months and pay the fee of $10 for 6 consecutive months.
*Skip-A-Pay: Pelican State CU membership and loan required. Restrictions and requirements for Skip-A-Pay eligibility apply to each individual loan. Skipped payments will be deferred and extended to the end of the original term of the loan. The $25.00 processing fee per loan is due before any payments will be deferred. Additional interest will accrue on the deferred payment throughout this deferred payment period. One skipped payment equals: one monthly payment, two consecutive bi-weekly payments, two consecutive semi-monthly payments or four consecutive weekly payments. Skipped payment fees will affect the loan's annual percentage rate (APR) for the statement period. Not available on Opportunity Lines of Credit (OLOC), all types of Mobile Home Loans, Fresh Start Loans, Visa® Credit Cards, Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, Commercial Loans, Bridge Loans, Bridge Plus Loans, Balloon Loans or Single Pay Loans. Your loan is NOT eligible for Skip-A-Pay if: you have already skipped 3 payments on the loan; you have skipped a payment on the loan within the last 6 months; the loan payment due date is over 45 days away (you cannot skip future payments—only the next payment due); you have made less than 3 months’ worth of payments on a new loan; you are enrolled in Pelican’s Financial Wellness Program; your payment is more than 10 days late; and/or your Pelican account is not in good standing. If the skipped payment is paid by direct deposit or payroll deduction automatically, the funds will be transferred to a checking account (savings, if checking not available) instead of going toward the loan. Skipping a payment may reduce the amount received on GAP claims on a vehicle. No more than 3 skipped payments will be permitted through the term of each individual loan. If the loan payment you would like to skip comes to Pelican via ACH from another financial institution, you must request your skip at least 5 days before the loan payment is due.
