What's My Overdraft Limit?
Effective Thursday, November 1, 2018, your Overdraft Privilege limit is subject to change based on your ongoing deposit and loan activity with Pelican. Please see the table below for our Overdraft Privilege limits.

Net Deposit Calculation Example:
Monthly ACH Deposits + $1,550
Cash/Check Deposits + $475
Pelican State CU Auto Loan - $450
Net Deposit Amount $1,575
*There is no restriction on the dollar amount of the deposit required in order to receive this limit. To maintain this limit there must be a deposit into the account every 35 calendar days.
**To qualify for the $1,000 limit, there must be a direct deposit and a total of $1,500 in net deposits every 35 calendar days. Pelican State Credit Union will factor in ACH deposits, cash or check deposits at a Pelican branch or shared branch location, and mobile deposits. Pelican State Credit Union loan obligations will be deducted from this total. If your net deposit amount remains at $1,500 or above, you will qualify for the $1,000 limit.
How To Prevent ODP Fees
Are Overdraft Fees Getting You Down?
Reconciling your monthly bank statement against your check register as often as possible can help you prevent overdraft fees!
To reconcile your check register with your bank statement balance:
- Record all deposits and withdrawals.
- Subtract any checks that have been written.
- Subtract any service fees.
- If your account earns dividends, add the dividends to your checkbook register.
- Subtract all debit card transactions as soon as they occur.
When you're finished, the balance on your bank statement and in your checkbook register should be the same.
Easy access to account information can also help prevent overdraft fees. Pelican has several ways to access your Pelican account on the go:
